I am a writer and editor living in Somerville, Massachusetts. I grew up in Chicago and lived there until a few years ago. I worked in bookstores for a little over a decade (here's what I made of it) and wrote for a number of small publications that no longer exist. I've been a features writer for TIME OUT CHICAGO, a columnist and book critic for THE BOSTON SUNDAY GLOBE, and, for two years, a staff writer at THE BOSTON PHOENIX.These days, I'm a freelance writer and a contributing editor to THE BAFFLER.
